Situated in the heart of the fertile Sundays River Valley, only minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park. The lodge is set within an eco-reserve, just far enough from the daily noises of the active citrus, ostrich and buffalo-breeding farm.

The quietness, stylishly appointed chalets with extra-length beds draped in romantic mosquito nets with crisp white percale linen, luxurious bathrooms with outdoor showers and private wooden decks with breathtaking views invite you to relax and unwind completely.

Fine dining with regional cuisine and unique ‘story telling’ wines from the walk-in wine cellar will ensure that dining is an unforgettable experience at Hitgeheim. All meals are lovingly planned and prepared by the resident chef. A 6-course set menu is presented every evening and served in luxurious splendour. Pre-dinner snacks are served in the lounge. We offer a full English Breakfast, including seasonal fresh and poached fruits, muesli and cereals, muffins and preserves, fresh fruit juices followed by a traditional cooked breakfast. Guided photographic safaris to Addo Elephant Park.
