Lady Grey

Tucked away below the awesome Witteberg mountain range, this victorian-era village is surrounded by magnificent mountains and pristine rivers.

Founded in 1858 by the Dutch Reformed community and named after the wife of Sir George Grey, Govenor of the Cape. 

The area is rih in fossil beds, rock art and Anglo Boer War history with a myriad of outdoor activities. 
 
Home to the Passion Play and the Lady Grey Arts Academy it is a definate must for the culture vulture!
